Computer lab is familiar to the app developer

There was an oddly familiar smell in the air.  It smelled like the combination of an office supply store combined with the not unpleasant smell of an electric heater coming on for the first time for the winter.  She closed her eyes and tried to remember what that smell was associated with.  It was a room with several computers and printers in it.  She smiled.  She was here at last.  She had spent what seemed like years training to get to this point. This was her first day as an app developer for a large software company. She had lots of experience with writing code and working as a team.  Many of her friends didn’t understand why she loved what she was doing, but that didn’t matter.  As soon as she sat down and put her fingers on the keys, the magic would happen and she could click clack her way into her future.
